Norwich is home Will Nash’s second Swift Tower, commissioned by developers RG Carter, it stands on Rosalind Franklin Road at the entrance to a new multi-story car park for Norwich Hospital.

Will Nash is currently building more swift towers across the UK with variations developing from the original form.

The 7-metre-tall steel tower was designed, fabricated and installed in 8 weeks in autumn 2020. It features 12 nest boxes, which can accommodate 24 swifts and their chicks. An audio system has been installed to play pre-recorded swift calls to attract the birds to the tower.
